I have a humidor with about 8 different types of cigars with different types of wrappers but I have flattened celo wrappers dividing them so that they don't touch. Is that bad? What is a good aging humidity%? I have noticed in the last 9 days with my aging humidor set at 76% that the oils glisten more than at 70%. Last question, I have a sampler tin in the aging humi will this take the cigars longer to age seeing that the cigars are not exposed to the cedar.

Tin is not going to help you at all. If you must use tin for some reason, leave the wrappers on and put some sort of hydro packet in the tin with them.

The cigars will be fine in the Cello Wrappers.

Although some people prefer 70 on the humidity, I tend to prefer closer to 75. Personal taste I guess (not to mention the accuracy of the gauge is sometimes in question). Play around with it.

One last question. I have a sampler tin in my aging cigar humidor, I took all the celo wrappers off of the cigars and put them back in the tin. Will the tin hinder its aging seeing that the tin is stopping the cigars from being exposed to the cedar.

I have 8 different kinds of cigars in my aging humidor ranging from all types of wrappers. is that bad even though I have them separated with cello wrappers so that they don't touch each other? Also, you talk about aging but what is a good aging humidity %? I currently have mine set at 75% for about the last 7 days and when I made the change to that I started to see the oils glisten more than the past 3 months I had them at 70%.

Godfather, I was just trying to get a clear understanding about making a sweet tip cigar. Are you saying I need to brush on the cigar something sweet and put it in a humidor for 4 to 5 days and repeat until it is to my pleasing? What can I bruch on it if that is the case

You should be fine. Try to avoid any sunlight and throw them all in a zip lock baggie.

Enjoy!

i recently purchased a few H Upmann cigars for around $10 but I don't yet have a humidor to store them in. will keeping them in the wrapper work to preserve them for a few weeks until i can secure a decent box?
